You're invited to celebrate Cinco de Mayo Thursday, May 5th
Zócalo Cocina Mexicana & Cantina will host Zócalo Fest, a Cinco de Mayo fiesta, featuring food from Zócalo, Brasa Churrasqueria, Baru Bistro & Tapas and Basin Seafood and Spirits.
The free outdoor festival, to be held Thursday, May 5 at 2051 Metairie Road, will include margarita specials and tequila tastings. The major event sponsor is Tres Generaciones® tequila.
The festival will feature food with an emphasis on Latin culture and cuisine, with Mexican beers, a tequila tasting and margarita specials. DJs will provide music all day, starting at 11:30 a.m., and there will be live music performances by Julio and Cesar and Conjunto Tierra Linda Music from 4 p.m. until closing.
VIP tickets are available and provide access to two private bars, with food tastings from each of the four sponsoring restaurants, and seating close to the dance floor and live music. VIP tickets are $100 each.
